Over my many seasons, I have observed a pattern that shapes performance. We take in information and either reject it or ruminate on it. We often add additional observations and these begin to inform our belief system, which may then then circle back to influence our observations. Here’s the key… all action comes out of what we believe. Our belief system flavours every part of who we are and how we act.

My amazing parents influenced my early thinking and beliefs. When I was in my 20’s, after walking away from a frightening flight through a big storm, I began to ponder the deeper issues of life and death and what happens next. As I look back through the rear-view mirror of my life, I see God’s hand guiding my journey every step of the way.

Jenn and I have felt God’s closeness, power and peace most through our marriage. We are humbled and thankful for the opportunities we are given to share our faith with Men, Women, Young People, Seniors, and Married Couples as they meet to be encouraged. We have joined with churches, para-Church organizations, and creative individuals, speaking for 20 minutes or interacting for 3 days conducting Hungry Marriage Conferences, Leadership Development for Pastors, or Outreach to the Hockey Community, all based around faith. Another favourite place to serve has been with our friends at Hockey Ministries International. You can send a note to our great friend and mentor, Don Liesemer, at http://www.hockeyministries.org/

“Just a note to thank you for your clear Christian testimony yesterday at the Nanaimo Prayer Breakfast. It is so good to see people from all walks of life giving their lives to Him, and every story is so unique! Praise God for colleagues and friends who share with their team-mates, fellow workers, MPs, or whatever. May He continue to use you, Ryan and Jenny, as you work in His marketplace!”
